While cleaning out a long overdue closet today, I found something I thought I'd lost: the mix tape I made when I finished Luck in the Shadows and-- I think-- it had been accepted by my agent, Lucienne Diver. It samples the music I listened to while I was writing, and some of the songs are dedicated to various characters.

The "faithful readers" referred to are the close circle of friends who read the manuscript through its many iterations and cheered me on, especially Doug. I gave these tapes out at the celebration. I am still so grateful to these folks.
